PoeticMoment is an award winning poet and spoken-word artist and educator based in los angeles, california. she has spent her career traveling, featuring, and competing in nationally recognized slams and showcases. she takes performative measures to share her work within the classroom as a way to advocate for students of color. as an artist, she believes all life moments experienced are poetic and creating knows no limits or boundaries.

In april of 2020, she released her first collection of poems titled “more courage than few” and received great recognition. the work encompasses her belief that through self-exploration, therapy, and faith one can begin to heal and process traumas and experiences had in life. in april 2021 she released her debut spoken-word album “seven.” The album offers listeners a theatric contact with 7 poems from the book “more courage than few” and provides audiences access to poetry in a different format. the lead single from the album “las rosas están muertas” and album is streaming on all platforms now.

“The Essence of Hope” is a contender for the 65th GRAMMY nomination in the new Spoken Word category.
