About Our Founder

Jason D. Harris—a hip-hop architect and founder of Mind of the Noise Records, as well as visionary educator whose journey from the gritty streets of St. Louis to the bright lights of LA is nothing short of legendary. Jason’s mission? To flip the script on music education and empower the next generation through his groundbreaking “Beat School with Mr. J.”

At just 11 years old, Jason made a pact with himself while watching the Grammys—he’d never stop until his sound reverberated across the globe. Fast forward, and this kid from St. Louis has crafted beats and engineered sounds for icons like Kid Cudi, Ledisi, and J.Lo. But it wasn’t just about the fame. Jason discovered his true calling when he realized his beats could do more than just move the crowd—they could shape the future.
